In modern society, the scope of electronics engineering is very vast that applied in every field. Development of a world that includes every area such as telecommunications, satellite, microelectronics, etc is the outcome of talented engineers. ECE is all about working with electronic science & communication equipment such as mobiles, fridge, transmitters, fulfilling the daily requirements of the people. This encourages students to understand the concept and design of the devices and bring new out innovations.

The Department has highly qualified as well as young and dynamic faculty involved in research activities to provide quality education. In addition to this, the department also provides facilities to students in terms of expert lectures from guest professors, video courses and dynamic curriculum with emphasis on emerging areas through a variety of elective courses, seminars and project. The syllabi of the courses are continuously updated and the laboratories modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology. With excellent labs and classrooms facilities, knowledge of able faculty, challenging and interesting course-work, integrating hands-on practical and research experience are motivating faculty and students for new innovations. Such technological strengths and pollution free peaceful environment, has provided unmatched opportunities for research, education, and service to society. Message from Head of ECE Department

 

A warm welcome to the department of electronics and communication engineering at Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Electronics & Communication Engineering is the most dynamically changing and ever-evolving branch since last more than 100 years. Electronics is the foundation on which various technologies have grown. All high-speed networks and computers work on the hardware designed by electronic engineers.

The greatest asset of the department is it’s highly motivating and learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in the global multicultural environment. The department faculty work with excellent team spirit in a different technical team like Wireless Communication, VLSI, Antenna designing, RF communication, Embedded System, etc which leads to key research publications, projects, and consultancy in these areas.

The graduates of the Electronics & Communication Stream have been selected by some of the leading telecom and software companies/ Industries. The Department not only aims to make our students technically sound and knowledgeable but also to nurture their wisdom and make them a better and responsible human being. To motivate the students the department organizes expert lectures, workshops, industrial visits, and arranges International Conferences periodically.
