About Us
Computer Science has the power to change the world. This course offer a flexible and fascinating programmes for the students who wish to acquire high skills in computers & applications, all supported by world class staff and facilities. The curriculum provides the students with a technical perspective on major issues of computer application, programming, languages and web enabled services.
With an intake of 60 students in B.Tech. the course is designed to impart a wide range of technologies with software development skills in the programming design code developments & web based applications in students to the prepare the students for further study. Trainees, Technicians and skilled persons from industry and academic are invited on latest technologies. Students are also encouraged to attend and present their papers in conferences.

To produce women computer engineers of sound technical skills, high capability and engineering ethics to provide the innovative demand based solutions for the community.
Mission
M1: To equip students with adequate computer engineering knowledge and skills, to motivate for meaningful contribution useful to the society needs.
M2: To produce women computer engineers with strong base, clear thoughts, strong theoretical and analytical foundation needed to generate quality professionals in diverse societal and industrial applications.
M3: To provide adequate laboratory facilities for syllabus oriented research and innovation.

Greetings!
I welcome you all to the creative world of Computer Science and Engineering on behalf of the faculty members & students of Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun.
The aim of this department is to enable students to acquire excellent technical education in Computer Science as well as to enrich the students personal and social development with high ethical values prepared for life challenges. The department is well equipped with high end computer, latest software, IT infrastructure and high speed intranet. The department has well experienced and dedicated faculty members with different specializations. The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) OF CSE
PEO 1: Attain the analytical expertise to create, analyze, formulate, and solve challengingproblems in the field of Computer Science & Engineering; and also recognize and develop the necessary and suitable solutions for the same.
PEO 2: Graduates of computer engineering possess attitude to learn and adopt new technologies as it evolves and be lifelong learners.
PEO 3: Uncover multidisciplinary approach and co-relate engineering issues to social and human background in broader sense, in which their engineering helping hand will be utilized.
PEO 4: The students will demonstrate leadership skills in the workplace and function professionally in a globally competitive world.
PEO 5: Implant sensitivity towards ethics, public policies and their responsibilities towards the society.
