Message from Head of ECE Department
A warm welcome to the department of electronics and communication engineering at Govt. Women Institute of Technology, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Electronics & Communication Engineering is the most dynamically changing and ever-evolving branch since last more than 100 years. Electronics is the foundation on which various technologies have grown. All high-speed networks and computers work on the hardware designed by electronic engineers.
The greatest asset of the department is it’s highly motivating and learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in the global multicultural environment. The department faculty work with excellent team spirit in a different technical team like Wireless Communication, VLSI, Antenna designing, RF communication, Embedded System, etc which leads to key research publications, projects, and consultancy in these areas.
The graduates of the Electronics & Communication Stream have been selected by some of the leading telecom and software companies/ Industries. The Department not only aims to make our students technically sound and knowledgeable but also to nurture their wisdom and make them a better and responsible human being. To motivate the students the department organizes expert lectures, workshops, industrial visits, and arranges International Conferences periodically.
